You could say that food is an obsession for me. My grandfather was a brilliant chef and my grandmother and mother amazing cooks. Some of my earliest memories revolve around cooking, spending time in the kitchen helping with one thing or another.
When I finished school I followed in my grandfather’s footsteps and became a qualified chef, specialising in pastries and desserts. I worked in kitchens for over 10 years before finding myself within a corporate office environment, however my love for baking and all things sweet is such a huge part of my identity and so I’ve continued to make cakes, cupcakes and desserts throughout the years.
My family moved from a small island community in Norway to Canberra in the 90’s so Scandinavian flavours and techniques influence a lot of what I create today, however most of my decorating skills are self-taught through reading, watching and experimenting. Over the years I have also been fortunate to attend a variety of workshops in both Canberra and Sydney where I’ve picked up tips and tricks for making the very best cakes.
Every thing I make is made using the best and freshest ingredients, combined with love, care and finesse. Whether you need sweets for Christenings, Birthdays, Weddings, Funerals, Valentines Day, Christmas or anything in between, I’ve got you covered! You never need an excuse to eat cake!!!
